BEVERAGES

                  ORANGE SPICED CIDER
Orange juice adds a bit of sweetness while red-hot candies are a fun substitute for traditional cinnamon sticks.
                   ---- Queenados, Portharcourt, Nigeria.



INGREDIENTS :
*4  cups unsweetened apple juice
*1 can (12 ounces) orange juice cincentrate,thawed
*1/2 cup water
*1 tablespoon red- hot candies
*1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
*1 tsp whole cloves
* Fresh orange slices and cinnamfon sticks ( optional)

DIRECTION:
1) In a saucepan or pot,combine the first five ingredients.
2) Place cloves in a double thickness of cheese cloth bring up corners of cloth and tie with kitchen string to form a bag.
3) Add bag to pot. Cover and cook on low for 30mins or untilk heated through.
4) Before serving,discard spice bag and stir cider
5) Garnish with orange slices and cinnamon sticks if desired. Yield:8 servings

NUTRITIONAL ANALYSIS: One serving (3/4 cup) equals 128 calories,trace fat (trace saturated fat),0 cholesterol ,6mg sodium,31g carbohydrate,1g fiber,1g protein.
DIABETIC EXCHANGE: 2 Fruits.
